The Common Ordinary documents my time spent in the Amazon with an indigenous family. Initially, I wondered if I would have much in common with a family living in the jungle, and me, born into one of the biggest cities in the world. The longer time went on I realised how much we had in common, especially with my family in rural Ireland. The father worked as a forester just like my grandad did, with the mother at home cooking on the open fire just like my granny. My photographs capture the family going about their every day life, capturing the common ordinary.
